I was planning on going to Judy's memorial service tomorrow but Fabian has had a relapse. If I am lucky I won't be taking him to the hospital tonight. But unfortunately one way or another I will have to stay close to his side for the next few days. My warmest regrets and regards to Judy's loved ones. You'll always be in my prayers.

Every now and then, for a fleeting moment, I forget Judy has left. And then the memory comes back, and it is with a heavy heart that I sit down and do the work that must be done. I'm registered at ASCAP, and have my music online for licensing. I've even been offered an exclusive digital EP contract by a record company. But I'm taking my time, I want to do things right, retain control over my music, and make the best of it.

I used to call Judy the "true rose of Nashville." Today I feel the blow of her departure, and I grieve her absence, and I am saying goodbye to her, to our past together. The part that hurts the most, is saying goodbye to our future. I had plans to record a second album with her, as well as designing the cd cover of the album without which I would be nobody: the one she produced last Christmas.
